Designer and biofuturist Suzanne Lee sees the future of materials in the convergence of design, biology, and engineering. To replace plastic and other harmful materials, she leads a global movement working to reimagine how we can harness living systems to grow more sustainable materials.

After her pioneering BioCouture™️ work inspired research teams around the world, she went on to serve as Chief Creative Officer of biofabrication startup Modern Meadow for five years. A true visionary driven by creativity and collaboration, she founded the annual international summit Biofabricate – now in its sixth year – to accelerate and nurture innovation in biofabrication by creating a platform for the most progressive and symbiotic thinkers in material design.
