Performance with purpose: adidas running x Parley
Inspired by the beauty of the oceans, three new adidas running shoes made from Parley Ocean Plastic™, plus an invitation to put them to good use
Meet the latest additions to the fleet of adidas performance footwear made from Parley Ocean Plastic™: Parley editions of UltraBOOST, UltraBOOST X, and a fresh colorway for UltraBOOST Uncaged. The new blue colorway is inspired by the hues of the oceans, a tribute to the beauty we are fighting to protect and a reminder of the greater message behind the collaboration and cause.
Each pair represents on average 11 plastic bottles recovered and upcycled from marine environments, and features laces, heel webbing, heel lining, and sock liner covers made from recycled PET material. The collection doesn’t just have a purpose, they deliver the same elite performance with every stride.
This latest milestone in the partnership reflects the long-term adidas commitment to Parley through a mutual focus on eco-innovation and implementation of the Parley AIR Strategy: Avoid virgin plastic wherever possible, Intercept plastic waste, Redesign the plastic economy with new alternatives. It’s not about shoes, it’s about challenging the status quo together, one step at a time.
