adidas Parley and Marc ter Stegen Launch UltraBOOST Parley
FC Barcelona goalkeeper and German national team player Marc ter Stegen joins the movement with release of new UltraBOOST Parley and UltraBOOST X Parley
Together with adidas Running and FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen, we created a limited release UltraBOOST Parley to continue raising awareness and inspiring action in movement to end marine plastic pollution.
Inspired by the dark blues and greens of the urban harbor, the UltraBOOST Parley and UltraBOOSTX Parley silhouettes fuse performance-oriented footwear technology with progressive eco-innovation. Demonstrating our joint commitment to implement the Parley AIR Strategy (Avoid, Intercept, Redesign) and tackle marine plastic pollution one step at a time, every pair of the limited collection repurposes approximately 11 plastic bottles prevented from entering the oceans.
Every adidas x Parley product made from Parley Ocean Plastic® is a messenger for the cause behind it. To boost the educational component, the latest UltraBOOST Parley collection includes a seamlessly integrated NFC chip in the right shoe, providing the wearer exclusive learning experiences about plastic pollution which can be accessed via smartphone with one simple tap. Through the mobile platform, consumers are empowered to learn more about the collaboration, how to avoid plastic in their everyday lives and ways to take part in current and future initiatives.
